Everyone at Hamilton is Special

About Us

Our Mission Statement ...

We have a diverse school community of which we are very proud.  We celebrate how special every child at Hamilton is, their similarities and their differences.  We actively work to create a positive ethos where every individual shows and receives respect and tolerance.  Our children are at the centre of every decision we make and everything we do.  We consult with them to ensure that the curriculum we provide is exciting, challenging and meets their needs.  We ensure that we know our children well, what they are capable of and what their dreams are.  We work closely with our parents to ensure that all children have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

By working in close partnership with parents and other members of the school community we nurture the development of trust, respect, confidence, self esteem and the desire to learn, which will ensure that all our children are well-equipped to meet the challenges of education, work and life in a multi-cultural society.  We are commited to providing a safe, secure, happy and caring environment which meets the needs of our school community.

-To enable all pupils to achieve the highest possible standards by making good progress in relation to their prior attainment and in response to targets set, particularly in the basic skills of literacy and numeracy.

-To provide every pupil with teaching of high quality and a curriculum that will meet their needs and the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and the National Curriculum.

-To plan realistically in order that the school’s resources are used efficiently to ensure good value for money.

-To provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children, staff, governors, parents and visitors feel supported and valued.

-To continue to strengthen opportunities for interaction between the school and the local community.

-To provide opportunities for all pupils to develop mutual respect and tolerance and good spiritual, moral, social and cultural awareness as a basis for future life skills in modern Britain.

-To extend concepts, skills, attitudes and knowledge which will encourage pupils to show independence and empower them to make sound choices and decisions.

-To provide a continuity of education through liaison with relevant schools and outside agencies.

-To ensure an equality of opportunity for everyone within the school.
