Let’s meet our 'incredible’ staff!

In our class, we encourage the children to be;
We are always ready to learn.
We are patient and we pay attention so that we can be super learners!
We look after each other and the school property.
We take care in all that we do.
We listen carefully so that we are safe at all times.
We use our kind hands and we follow the instructions all of the time.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Traction Man ready to save the day! This half term, the children will be taken on an adventurous journey into the world of Traction Man! The Incredibles will be living up to their name by retelling the story, writing the story using their amazing Y2 writing skills and innovating the story too! They will also be learning to write instructions when asked to create a brand new cape for Traction Man. We can't wait to see what the children achieve!

In Maths, our clever Mathematicians are learning to multiply and divide. This includes solving word problems as well as arithmetic questions. If you need any support with helping your child at home, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher via Class Dojo.
In topic, the children will develop their knowledge and understanding of the properties of materials in science. Using this knowledge, the children will create a cape for Traction Man considering the most suitable material to use.
Below, you will find Summer 1’s half termly poem. The children practise this poem to develop their communication skills. In class, the children are learning to read using expression and fluency.
